MGTO continues to suspend non-essential services from 12:00 a.m., July 18 to 12:00 a.m., July 23

MACAO, July 17 – In accordance with the measures taken by the SAR government to contain the pandemic, the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) continues to suspend non-essential services from 00:00 on July 18 to July 23, 2022, with the provisions as follows:

Suspension of the submission of non-urgent documents

Services are suspended at the MGTO reception counter on the 12th floor of the Hotline building during the above-mentioned period. For very urgent matters, residents can contact the Office by email: or via the 24-hour tourist hotline: (853) 2833 3000.

Online services remain as usual

MGTO’s online service platforms are operating as usual and provide the following services: license renewal for travel agencies, various tour guide card applications, online submission of travel agency quarterly reports, listings prices and statement of room rates.

Submission of subsidized activity reports

From 12:00 a.m. July 18 to 12:00 a.m. July 23, all Specialized Grant Program reports can be submitted through MGTO’s online platform when due. MGTO will consider the date of online submission as the filing date of the report. In addition, MGTO will notify relevant entities to submit original copies of documents; if a funded entity has not submitted the report within 30 days of the end of the activity, then the entity must complete and submit the “Activity Report Submission Deferral Request Form” via email :

Temporary closure of the Tourist Information counters

At present, operations are suspended for all MGTO tourist information counters while the Macau Grand Prix Museum and the Ritz building remain closed to the public. Local “Stay, Dine and See Macau” tours remain suspended until further notice.

The MGTO Tourist Helpline operates 24 hours a day

The MGTO Tourism Helpline (853) 2833 3000 maintains its 24-hour operator service to respond to tourism-related inquiries. In accordance with the pandemic contingency plan, MGTO participates in support work in the fight against the pandemic.
